Hey, I’m Chris Bankus, a strategist and builder who is driven to understand how people think, act, and the patterns that drive them. My work has centered around strategy, systems, and direction, figuring out where things are going and how to actually get there. I’ve spent years studying behavior, learning to read what’s often not said and how people navigate pressure. I’m naturally curious and drawn to world building, both in systems and stories. My faith shapes how I live. And at heart, I’m a sci-fi fan who’s always been drawn to stories of space travel, mystery, exploration.
My Story
I’ve always loved science fiction. The big questions, world building, identity, power, and sacrifice. For years, I have been writing stories like that just for me, never intending to share them.
That curiosity pushed me deeper. I spent years studying behavioral intelligence, working toward mastery through Humintell and the Paul Ekman Group, focused on how people think, make decisions, and respond under pressure. Alongside that, I stepped into strategy, planning, and mapping work in venture-focused environments, helping build systems, guide decisions, and navigate complexity where outcomes carry real weight. Over time, those worlds started to connect in a way I did not expect.
I realized the kinds of stories I had always been drawn to were not separate from real life. They were reflections of it. Questions about identity, purpose, sacrifice, and what it means to stand firm when things are uncertain. Faith is a major part of that. Over 15 years in student ministry, I’ve built strong bonds with students and their families, and learned firsthand that it truly takes a village. That perspective has shaped how I think about people, relationships, and the importance of showing up consistently over time. I’ve written more stories than I can count, most of which will never be published, but all of them helped shape how I think and what I value.
